On International Human Rights Day, the IHRC welcomed a family of four fleeing the war in Ukraine. Student Attorneys, Uma Fry-Demetria and Harut Margaryan, worked tirelessly on the family’s humanitarian parole applications and coordinated sponsors from St. Peter’s By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church in Huntington Beach, CA and representatives from Home for Refugees. The family’s arrival coincided with the Clinic’s event in The Hague this past week at the International Criminal Court, calling for prevention of genocide against Ukrainian nationals as a protected group. We welcome this wonderful family and look forward to guiding their immigration process here in the United States.
