On the 10th of March, 2022, the Appeals Chamber of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (“STL”) issued the Appeal Judgment in the Prosecution’s appeal in the case of Prosecutor v. Merhi and Oneissi, reversing the acquittals of Hassan Habib Merhi and Hussein Hassan Oneissi and convicting them in the case of Prosecutor v. Merhi and Oneissi.
The International Human Rights Clinic welcomes this judgement with the hopes that it provides some measure of justice for the victims.
